Parla is an international auxiliary language proposed by Carl Ludwig Spitzer in 1907.

Alphabet and pronunciation[]

Parla uses the letters of the Latin alphabet excluding q, x, y and z, resulting in 16 consonants and five vowels.

The vowels a, e, i, o and u are pronounced as in German or Italian. The letter j is pronounced like the English y. The letter c is pronounced "ts".

Stress is always placed on the penultimate syllable.
